Michael “Mike” Lee Taylor

Funeral services for Michael “Mike” Lee Taylor, 76, of Pittsburg, will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in the Chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Brother Kyle Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Crossroads Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm, prior to the service. Mike was born on December 20, 1946, in Dallas, Texas, to H. V. “Pete” and Billie Sue Bradley Taylor and passed from this life on June 4, 2023.

Mike married Judith Lovil Winchester on July 4, 1998, in Pittsburg, Texas. He worked as a truck driver for Custom Commodities for 15 years before his retirement. He also enjoyed farming and operating heavy equipment. Mike proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy Taylor; mother, Sue Taylor; daughters, Destiny Willette (Doug), Lacie Holland (Chris), and Torie Ryan; son, Randy Winchester; brothers, Craig Taylor (Shelly), John Edward Taylor (Karen) and Windol Lindsey (Mary Jane); grandchildren, Justin, Kaitlyn, Kyle, Ryan, Nick, Tyler, Lane, Mylla, Jett, Killian, Layla, and Harley; and great-grandchildren, Thomas and Kaylie.

He is preceded in death by his father, H. V. “Pete” Taylor; brothers, John T. Taylor and Hollis London; and sister, Brenda Thompkinson. Pallbearers will be Tyler Ferguson, Kyle Nugent, Nick Norton, Chris Peek, James Garner, and Wayne Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Jones, Greg Knight, Ryan Willette, David Stevenson.
